Thomas Heymann is a successful media entrepreneur and executive with senior business development and operating experience at industry leaders including; A&E Television Networks, Lifetime Television and Lorimar Home Entertainment. He consults with companies on business development and expansion into new markets and new media. Tom is also currently a Board Member of Click2Care, a Social Enterprise that connects donors with charitable causes around the world. Tom served for six years as Senior Vice President and General Manager of The Biography Channel, a leading cable television network based in the United States with successful brand extensions. Prior to leading The Biography Channel, Tom launched and headed A&E’s Interactive Division as Sr. Vice President/General Manager where he introduced and built three of the industry’s top 10 online brands.
Tom is also an accomplished author and inventor. He created and wrote six books with Random House concerning demographic and popular culture in the United States (On an Average Day…), the former Soviet Union and Japan. He is also the inventor of the popular children’s board game; The Baby Panda Game. He has served on the boards of Genealogy.com and Military.com. Tom earned his MBA in Marketing from Columbia University’s Graduate School of Business and graduated from Northwestern University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Communications, concentrating in Radio, TV and Film. He also completed the Harvard Business School - CTAM Executive Leadership Program. Tom has been featured in BrandWeek, MediaWeek, MultiChannel News, Entertainment Weekly, USA Today, CNN and numerous other media outlets.
