Tom is an executive with senior business development and operating experience in the commercial and not for profit sectors. He most recently served as Chief Operating Officer at Little Kids Rock, the country’s largest free instrumental music charity, serving more than 115,000 students nationwide. Prior to joining Little Kids Rock, Tom served as Executive Director at Young Audiences New York. Tom has also held senior management roles at industry leaders including; A&E Television Networks and Lorimar Entertainment. While at A&E, Tom was the first General Manager of The Biography Channel where he led the channel to six years of growth and expansion. He also launched and headed A&E’s Interactive, Publishing, and Consumer Products Divisions as Sr. Vice President/General Manager.
Tom created and wrote six books with Random House concerning demographic and popular culture in the United States (On an Average Day…), the former Soviet Union and Japan. He is also the inventor of the children’s board game; The Baby Panda Game. Tom earned his MBA in Marketing from Columbia University’s Graduate School of Business and graduated from Northwestern University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Communications, concentrating in Radio, TV and Film. He also completed the Harvard Business School - CTAM Executive Leadership Program. He has served on the boards of Genealogy.com and Military.com. Tom lives in New York and has three children.
